ANGELS and DEMONS takes inspiration from the following passage in the Book of Revelations :

"And there was war in heaven : Michael and his angels fought against the dragon...."

Revelation 12:7

These two lines of text provide the composer with the material for a series of sound pictures. It is for the listener to interpretate and imagine the sequence of events in these pictures.

The work was commissioned by Le Brass Band Nord Pas de Calais, Music Directors Phillippe Lorthios and Dr. Luc Vertommen, and first performed by them in the Nouveau Siecle, Lille, France, on Saturday 25th. January 2015.
