The five ‘Anglian Dances” are really miniature sound pictures of scenes from a mythical English country village. These are clearly pictured within my mind, but I prefer to both the listener and the performer form their own impressions.
The work was originally commissioned by the late Brian Hastings and The East Anglian Brass Band Association for their Annual Spring Festival in 1999 supported by National Lottery Funding through the Arts Council of England. Selected as the Test Piece for the 2006 Regional Brass Band Championships of Great Britain - Section 4
