PREFACE

In 1980 the “Nederlandse Federatie van Christelijke Muziekbonden” (Dutch Federation of Christian Music Unions) took the initiative to publish a series of arrangements of well-know hymns. With this step the organizers wanted to be actively involved in enriching religious repertoire. In the course of the years the NFCM has been able to interest a number of well- known Dutch composers in attributing to the series, which resulted in a diverse collection of hymn-arrangements.
