This complete arrangement of all 12 concerti, 3 per season, gives a new face to this wonderful work, which retains its attraction however many times it is played. 'Painting a picture' has always been a favourite kind of music with audiences, but it hardly needs to be said that very few have ever rivalled Vivaldi's freshness, vivacity and invention.

Some of these pieces are of moderate difficulty, but some are very difficult, needing a principal trumpet or cornet of a very high quality. Hence the Grading of 2 and 4.
