In a Sentimental Mood was arranged for trumpet virtuoso and friend of Elgar Howarth, Gerard Schwarz, now an internationally known orchestral conductor. Gerard was the guest soloist at the National Finals Gala Concert ‘in 1977. He played four pieces on four different instruments, In a Sentimental Mood was played on flugel horn, and he played it superbly.
