The song was originally with Italian lyrics, recorded by Tony Renis and Emilio Pericoli in 1962. American entertainer Pat Boone recorded the song the same year, with English lyrics; “Tell Me When Will You Be Mine”.
The song is one of the best-selling singles of all time. It has been used by many artists and in many different arrangements, including Engelbert Humperdinck in 1968, Connie Francis in 1963, Michael Bublé in 2005.
""Quando, Quando, Quando"" is arranged in a samba rhythm style, and gives an opportunity to add some Latin hand percussion to the group, such as Chocalho (shaker), Cabasa, Tamborim (Hand Drum), Agogo bells, etc.
