The hymn tune arrangement "Consecration" was commissioned by Weyland and Yvonne Roberts, in memory of Archibald Roberts.       Section: 3+

 

This arrangement has taken the Hymn tune Consecration and features three verses. Starting with the introduction, which utilises fragments of the melodic lines, the first verse features the solo cornet who performs as part of a quartet. The second verse then features the euphoniums and lower brass.

 

The melodic lines from the introduction then play again, this time with a build in the dynamics and with a key change. This brings us into the final verse with the whole ensemble enjoying the concluding moments at fortissimo.
