Category: Solos Composer / arranger: Elgar arr. E Wilson
Elgar is rightly well-known as the composer of large-scale symphonies and cantatas, but he was also a master of the smaller form and wrote many short works for a vaiety of genres.
This short Serenade, originally for piano, sits well as a work for solo instrument and piano and is arranged here for B-flat soloist. It is particularly suited to the trumpet or cornet and requires a fair amount of delicacy and musicality.
