Simply the Best was first performed by the little known Bonnie Tyler in 1988, but did not gain wide-spread popularity until Tina Turner recorded it barely one year later. The song has become one of Tina Turner’s all time greatest hits and is a favourite around the world when something needs celebrating. Ron Sebregts’ arrangement really rocks and will make sure your next concert is Simply the Best!

4th section and above.
When it was announced that prolific composer Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and hit song writer Gary Barlow were to collaborate on a project to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II, the public were left in little doubt that the music would be an instant hit. We were not disappointed! Gary Barlow travelled across the Commonwealth searching for instruments and voices to perform on the single and the ‘Military Wives Choir’ were also included in the final edition. Now available for the first time for brass band in an arrangement by Dave Houghton, this moving work projects the ‘feel good’ factor to your audience and is a perfect addition to a programme on both the bandstand and concert hall. A must for every bands library.

The Red Hot Chilli Peppers, a Californian crossover band, combine rock with pop, funk, rap and punk. Towards the end of 2006 they released the single Snow (Hey Oh), from the number one album Stadium Acadium, which later went on to win four Grammy Awards. Compared to the often rather fierce repertoire of the band, Snow (HeyOh) is a melodic and relaxed song that is always a real crowd pleaser.
