The four Norwegian Dances by Edvard Grieg (1843-1907), dating from 1880, are among his most popular compositions. Part of their appeal is their reference to Norwegian folk music and, while originally written for pianoforte, they enjoyed yet greater recognition in the orchestrations by Hans Sitt.
This arrangement is a complete revision of a version prepared for the GUS Band album, European Journey.
