This march was commissioned by the owner of a painting and decorating company and long-time friend of the composer Bertrand Moren. The title refers to the company’s activity but is also a means, through clever orchestration and dynamic effects, of highlighting the rich and beautiful sound range of brass instruments. Colour of Brass is a delightful addition to the light original brass band repertoire.

This easy concert march Constellation was composed by the Swiss composer Bertrand Moren, The march can be divided into two parts. The first part, which is rhythmical, beautifully contrasts with the second part, which is lyrical. Each register of the orchestra has its turn in this concert march, which, in spite of its easy level of difficulty, deserves the designation “five-star piece.”
